Beverly Hills

This is likely the residential area that people think of when they think about the city.

Welcome to Beverly Hills

World famous Beverly Hills is its own municipality within the County of Los Angeles made up of just over 5 square miles. It is bordered by the City of West Hollywood on the East, Bel Air (City of LA) on the North, Westwood (City of LA) on the West, and Beverlywood (City of LA) on the South.

There are 6 main neighborhoods within Beverly Hills. There is also an area known as Beverly Hills POST OFFICE (or BHPO), which is adjacent to Beverly Hills, but actually in the City of LA and serviced by LA City for things like: police department, fire department, utility services, and schools.

Trousdale Estates, which is northeast of the Greystone Mansion (north of Sunset Blvd.) is known for its modern and mid-century modern architecture. Due to the views and lot sizes here, Trousdale has some of the most expensive homes in Los Angeles.

The Flats are roughly bordered by Sunset Blvd. on the north, Santa Monica Blvd. on the south, Doheny Rd. on the east, and Wilshire Blvd. on the west. Homes here have generally increasingly larger (and many would argue, more desirable) lots the further north the property is from Santa Monica Blvd. This area is likely the residential area of Beverly Hills that people think of when they think about the city. Wide, palm-lined streets and gorgeous (mostly) well-groomed homes. Great area for walking and in close proximity to the famous shops and restaurants of Beverly Hills in the next neighborhood- the Golden Triangle.

The Golden Triangle is the premier shopping area bordered by Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica Blvd., and Canon Drive.

South of Wilshire, South of Beverly is the neighborhood that has the highest number of residences in the city – single family homes, condos, and apartment buildings. This area is in close proximity to shops, restaurants, parks, and schools and is perceived by many to be the most convenient area in Beverly Hills in which to reside.

Beverly Hills schools are consistently ranked among the top public schools in the nation.
